Received blazer from home; delighted. Thought it might go down. Cards, etc, are grand; make the place very cheerful. Parade 8:45 a.m. Terribly cold, hard frost, hills now all snow-capped – a grand sight. Drew camp kit from Arsenal. Going to inspect early tonight. Inspected IBT (initial basic training?) Company guard and just after drove into a ditch. Got guard to help lift car out. Bed 11:15 p.m.
