A good sleep, if short. Just going to breakfast. Snaps were quite good for first attempt. Went over to Greens to see Dean and company. and read on veranda until about 11:00 a.m. In the afternoon I went to see the Parsee’s Tower of Silence and Hindoo Burning Ghats. Interesting talk with temporary Bearer, a Catholic, who can speak and write English and goes to night school. I admire him. Went with Dean and company to see ‘Quiet Wedding’ – passable. A beautiful air conditioned cinema the ‘Eros’.
