Arose for 9:00 a.m. breakfast. Then went with Mr Clarke in the car to a tea factory. Saw green leaf brought in dried, shredded, baked, etc., etc. and finally the samples of finished tea. Most interesting. After lunch set off to climb the hill, but caught in a terrific storm, wet through, every garment. Read and rested in dry clothes until tea. After tea I went to the club and played golf for the first time, adjourned to club to drink beer, all gratis. Had a fine dinner, talked on military situation and went to bed.
